Corey Lilburn graduated from the University of Michigan in 2000 with a B.A. in Organizational Studies, laying the foundation for a career consulting with business owners and executives. A lifelong resident of Michigan, he chose to move to Florida in February, 2001 – eventually settling in Tampa. Corey entered the health insurance industry with AFLAC, and was promoted to district manager eight months later.
He found his true calling when he joined Alltrust in February, 2004 as an employee benefits consultant. Under the mentorship of Joe Part, Corey excelled and was promoted to Director of Sales in December; and Vice President in March. Corey was selected by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as one of Tampa’s “30 Under 30” honorees in 2005. He is completing a two-year advanced education program through the Wharton School of Business to obtain his Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation.
Corey’s position requires him to consult with CEO’s and CFO’s of small to medium sized companies throughout West-Central Florida. He advises them on group health insurance and employee benefits decisions. He provides forecasts and benchmarking in an extremely volatile industry and educates staff members on healthcare utilization.
Corey served two years on the Board of Directors for Emerge Tampa, a leadership development program through the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce. He is a founding member of the non-profit Bay Area Advisors, and a member of the St. Pete Young Professionals through the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce.
